Maa-Lai Library welcomes the Year of the Dragon with a Chinese-themed afternoon tea set.
The Dragon Delight afternoon tea is offered in a choice of two sets.
The “Signature Edition” features highlights such as prawn toasts, Peking duck pancakes, langoustine wonton soup and spicy Szechuan crab spring rolls. The “Vegetarian Edition” includes delicacies like Chinese salsa on rice crisp, taro cake with sweetened ginkgo nut, persimmon mousse and white chocolate, and chestnut egg tart. Both sets are served with Sichuan peppercorn scones andGoji berry-vanilla scones.
The all-new Dragon Delight afternoon tea is priced at THB 1,400++ per set including premium Thai loose-leaf tea blends. The special Chinese New Year Edition will be available exclusively from 1 – 29 February.
*The signature Pocket and Premium Edition will not be available during February 2024.
Served at the 30th floor at the Maa-Lai Library, the “Afternoon Tea at the Library” is the highest elevation afternoon tea served in town, crowned by a panoramic view of the lush Langsuan greenery surrounds.
Afternoon Tea at the Library fulfils its library theme with unique refreshments served in a customized wood “book”, the Pocket Edition and the Premium Edition.
The 2 exclusive tea blends for Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok include the floral Marigold blend with hints of jasmine, rose and marigold, and the fruity Peach blend with refreshing peach and rounded with rose and jasmine. For an added effervescent touch, guests can order a glass (or even a bottle) of Champagne, bubbles and wine from our wide selection.
The Pocket Edition includes highlights such as jumbo lump crab meat curry spring rolls, Pad Ka Prao chicken in an edible Thai money bag, pecan tart with maple cream, and blood orange cream Choux au Craquelin.
The Pocket Edition is available at THB 1,190++ per set for 2 persons and is served with 2 pots of premium Thai loose-leaf tea blends from Monsoon.
For an extra afternoon indulgence, the Premium Edition comes with an array of luxurious bites such as burrata cheese with Italian pesto, Canadian lobster ceviche with green apple and celery, 28-month Jamon Iberico Pata Negra on rye bread, lime meringue tart, Gianduia praline éclair as well as mango and star anise crème brulée.
The Premium Edition is available at THB 1,400++ per set for 2 persons and served with two pots of high-end Thai loose-leaf tea blends from Monsoon.
Lights off, and it’s back to basics. To celebrate Earth Hour, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok flicks off the switch for a special 4-course dinner that celebrates the ingenuity of primitive cooking where simplicity reigns supreme from grilling, curing, and multiple methods of marination.
This exquisite 4-course dinner is conceptualised around the consciousness of the world, the environment, and our commitment to reducing carbon footprint — without skimping on the flavours. A string trio will also perform as guests take in and relish this one-of-a-kind, earth-appreciating event.
Earth Hour Dinner is available on Saturday, 23 March 2024, from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. for THB 990++ per person, that comes with one complimentary welcome drink.
Plus, all diners will get a chance to do good. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok will donate one tree to the ‘Bangkok Tree’ project for every guest joining the dinner.
