FEM POWER

Female musicians rock the house on International Women’s Day

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok salutes the achievements and independence of women worldwide with its “Fem Power” inspiring lineup of female musicians on International Women’s Day, Friday, 8th March.  A portion of proceeds from Fem Power food and beverage sales will be donated to Alliance Anti Trafic (AAT) to help combat abuse and exploitation of women and children in Thailand.

Supporting inclusion and equality through music, Fem Power shines a light on Thai up and coming female performers who are breaking barriers and making waves in the music industry, with showcase performances that start at 7:30 p.m. at CRAFT, then ascend up to Bar.Yard on the 40th floor from 9:30 p.m. until late

CRAFT welcomes Valentina Ploy, who recently opened for Coldplay during their Bangkok concert dates. Born and raised in Italy, Valentina Ploy is a Thai-Italian female singer and songwriter who made a splash with her debut single in the pop-easy listening genre. Her inspiring journey started when she was scribbling lyrics in her diary when she was seven — and has never stopped since.

Her acoustic set at CRAFT is from 7:30 until 8:15 p.m.

Fem Power goes sky-high at Bar.Yard with headliner “Flower.far” from 9:30 until 10:30 p.m. This emerging Thai artist was featured on Spotify’s RADAR Global campaign, included in The NME 100: Essential Emerging Artists for 2023, played at the Wonderfruit Music Festival, and was recently featured on COLORS, one of the largest music platforms that feature diverse and exceptional artists from around the globe.

Her set is bookended by live DJs performances from DJ Poyjii and DJ Vida that will keep guests rocking from 6:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.
